My London Blender User Group virtual event talk is over. However you can watch it again. I spoke about using alternative render engines in Blender. Below is the video of my talk along with all my renders if you want to have a closer look at the detail of the renders.

First up, we have the typography images. These are over a year old by now, so some of the missing features might exist now. Similarly, the render qualities might of changed.

Next, are the greyscale bottle renders. This was mainly to see how each render engine in Blender treated the lighting in the scene. I then made tweaks to the settings to match Cycles as closely as possible.

Lastly, we have the full renders. The materials do differ between the different render engines as I am using the nodes native to each one. There are some commonalities, for example the Disney material.

So are render engines in Blender worth looking into? I think so. I am aiming to create some more detailed explanations on each render engine seperately, so stayed tuned. In the mean time, if you want to experiment with these render engines your self, click on the links below to go to the relevant sites.
